Jacques Stoerr, President and Chairman of the Board
Jacques Stoerr is an active leader and advocate within the vision industry. He has served on the boards of the Optical Manufacturing Association (now VCA), Prevent Blindness America, Transitions Optical, Sunsoft, and the Industry Council of the American Optometric Association (AOA). Presently, he sits on the board of Essilor of America and VisionWeb.
In 1999, Prevent Blindness of America presented the Visions of a Winner award to Mr. Stoerr in recognition for his contributions to his community as well as to programs that advance eye health.
Mr. Stoerr is the former president of Varilux Corp. and Silor Optical as well as former president and chairman of the board of Essilor of America. He also has served on the executive committee of Essilor International and as CEO of the optical industry internet portal, VisionWeb.
Patrick Esquerre, Board Member
Patrick Esquerre has been involved in many non-profit, community-based initiatives, among them, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation and Happy Hill Farm, and has served on the boards of the North Texas Food Bank and Casa. Mr. Esquerre also has been an active fundraiser for PBS and its partner, National Public Radio, in twelve cities across the country for which he received the PBS Humanitarian award in 1990.
Mr. Esquerre founded the popular La Madeleine Bakery and Cafe in Dallas and later expanded it to 65 restaurants spread across the southern United States.
He received Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1993.
Kevin A. Rupp, Board Member and Treasurer
Kevin Rupp is the chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance and administration for Essilor of America. Prior to joining Essilor, Mr. Rupp was employed in the energy industry for more than 20 years with Arco, Fina, and TotalFina.
Mr. Rupp is active in the civic and non-profit community and has been involved for many years with Junior Achievement.
Hubert Sagnieres, Board Member
Hubert Sagnières began his career with Essilor in 1989, serving as vice president of international marketing for the Essilor Group. One year later, Mr. Sagnières was promoted to president of Essilor Canada. In 1996, he became president of Omega Group of Laboratories, the national network of optical laboratories owned by Essilor Laboratories. In 1998, he was promoted to CEO of Essilor of America.
Mr. Sagnières serves on the board of Transitions Optical, Inc.
Audrey Reed, Executive Director
Audrey Reed has a long-standing reputation of service both in and out of the optical industry. Ms. Reed is a founding officer and board member of the Optical Women's Association and was selected by Vision Monday as one of the Fifty Most Influential Women in Optical. She was appointed and is currently serves on the President's Advisory Council for Special Olympics Texas as well as committees for numerous other charities and non-profit organizations.
